AUDUBON SOCIETY'S  BIRDS OF PREY
Saturday, May 6, 2023

Over 60 people came to see this event.  David Havens who is both a teacher and narturalist with the Audubon Society brought a screech owl and a barn owl.  He spoke about their lives and that the hazards they face from pesticides and automobiles are greater than the threat from their natural enemies.  Barn owls are no longer found in Connecticut since their habitat is generally old barns which have become rare in this area.

We love our librarians!
Feb 14, 2023

Members of the Friends baked cookies and delivered them along with Greiser's gift cards to our librarians on Valentine's day to show our appreciation of all they do to make our library experiences rewarding and fun.

We will be updating as the year progresses. In the meantime, take note of these events!

Holiday Market and Tree Lighting, Dec 7, 2022

Thanks to so many for making our Annual Holiday Market and Tree Lighting such a success. So great to see so many of the town come out and kick off the season with us! A truly multi-generational time for all.

To see more pics of the event, check out what the Easton Courier had to share by clicking HERE.

What fun with over 17 artisans, and Santa and Ms. Claus, and lots of singing and shopping! The kids loved the singing (thank you Joel Barlow Singers!) We are already booked for next year.

Used Book Sale, Oct 1-2, 2022

We had a very successful used book sale Sept 30, Oct 1 and 2, 2022, where we brought the community together over their love of reading, and where we raised $6000. Special thanks to Jesse Lee United Methodist Church for allowing us to store and organize books through the summer and early fall.

WINE & CHEESE TASTING
JUNE 15, 2022

We had a great time at our wine & cheese tasting! What a great way to kick off the summer! Special thanks to Sport Hill Farm, Drewlizcious, and Trellis & Vine for helping us make this such a festive event with their location, their catering, and their floral arrangements, respectively. Well done, all!

 Library Giving Day
April 6, 2022

We had fabulous participation in our national day of celebrating local libraries: Library Giving Day,  April 6, 2022, where we raised over $4250. Proceeds support numerous discretionary programs that go beyond the library's annual budget.  This year we included repairs and refurbishment of the back patio for outdoor activities.

Holiday Craft Fair and Tree Lighting,  Dec 5, 2021.

We were delighted to have had a festive holiday kick-off with our craft fair and tree lighting on December 5. Santa, Mrs. Claus, singing, arts & crafts, raffles, and lots of local artisans made it a special event for Eastonites, with their children and pets. We can't wait for next year!

Thank you for your book donations! We collected books in great condition to sell at our annual book sale. The one day event turned into two thanks to the community's enthusiasm.

We swirled and sipped an array of wines while enjoying a curated cheese, charcuterie, and accoutrement pairing.

Past: Library Giving Day, 2021

Thank you, Easton!

On April 7, 2021 we participated in the annual, national Library Giving Day event. Our event raised over $5K for the EPL with more than 100 Eastonites supporting the effort. Thank you all for your support and special thanks to the Fayek family for their added giving incentive.
